Tom Achtmanis of ARNI Architects in Staffordshire becomes Vice President of the NSSA
The North Staffordshire Society of Architects (NSSA) was established in 1925 and is part of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) West Midland. All those who are part of the society are RIBA Members and either architects, directors or employees of Architects in Staffordshire.
The RIBA sets out the standard of practice expected to maintain both educational and professional excellence throughout the profession, with all members required to abide by these standards. As such maintaining excellence across the board within the architectural profession. They also provide its members with regular updates regarding the profession and projects, and of course support and guidance when needed.
After being an active member of the NSSA for the past few years, Tom Achtmanis, director of ARNI Architects in Staffordshire, has recently had the pleasure of being appointed the Vice President for the society. He has become a part of a fantastic team who ensure the smooth operation of their monthly meetings and the events it holds.
The NSSA forms one part of the RIBA West Midlands branch, with Staffordshire architects meeting on a monthly basis to keep abreast with architectural developments and news. It is a great way to keep up to date with current events whilst socialising with like minded professionals.
Upcoming events for Architects in Staffordshire
Events and workshops are also arranged by the NSSA, providing educational and topic information to its members. Events such as their “A Big Plan for Spode: North Staffordshire Society of Architects, Architecture Day and Lecture Symposium” event that took place in October 2019 (in conjunction with British Ceramics Biennial).
Tom is looking forward to becoming even more involved with the NSSA and supporting its events in the future.
Our next event takes place at ARNI Architects on the 23rd January 2020.
